second Tuesday of each month, at the SESD office, 803 North 500
East, Payson, Utah at 11:00am. The public will be notified of

“Notice
of Election Results
An election for the position of trustee
for South Utah Valley Electric Service District (SESD) to
represent the geographic district within the area currently
served by SESD was held on November 6, 2007. This election was
for four trustees for the following geographic boundaries:
District 1, Loafer; District 2, Spanish Fork East Bench;
District 5, Lake Shore; and District 6, West Mountain.
By majority vote, the elected trustees for
4-year terms are: District 1, Raymond Loveless; District 2,
Blair Hamilton; District 5, John Youd; and District 6, Melvin
Meredith. A trustee must be a registered voter, a resident of
the SESD District which he represents and a user of electricity
from SESD. The trustees are elected to serve 4-year terms
beginning January 2008.

STRAWBERRY ELECTRIC SERVICE
DISTRICT INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN
2006-2007
DEMAND SIDE MANAGEMENT PROJECTS
1.
SESD changes mercury vapor 175 watt yard lights with 100 w HPS
fixtures with a target of 40 units per year.
2.
We have changed out 96 units of epoxy insulated cutouts.
3.
High contamination areas receive priority in the change out of epoxy
insulators.
4.
The past year SESD has spent $18,500 for tree removal and line
clearance.
5.
There has been 150 arrestor units changed out, with priority given
any arrestors 25 years or older.
6.
We promote energy efficiency within the homes and business SESD
serves. This includes newsletter information and free energy
auditors to help identify problem areas for our customers.
7.
We are in the process of developing rates to encourage conservation.
8.
SESD is currently building a new substation with Salem City with an
emphasis on reduction of losses.
Public Notice
South Utah Valley Electric Service District (“SESD”)
hereby gives notice to their customers that SESD is taking written
comments on the Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems’ (“UAMPS”)
Integrated Resource Plan (“IRP”). A Public Hearing will be held on
September 19, 2007 at 6 p.m. at the SESD offices at 803 North 500
East, Payson, Utah. Persons interested in providing input should
submit written comments at or before the Public Hearing. The IRP is
available at the SESD offices for review after September 10, 2007.”
